The University of Rwanda is set to host the 2025 Graduation Ceremony on 17 October 2025. Preparations are well underway, with strong indications that this year’s event will be yet another resounding success. The ceremony will take place at UR Huye Campus ; the university’s largest campus located in Huye District, Southern Province.
This year marks a significant milestone as 9,529 students are expected to graduate, reflecting an increase compared to previous years. Among them are 8,748 undergraduate and approximately 744 postgraduate students, a testament to UR’s growing academic excellence and contribution to Rwanda’s human capital development. The final list of graduands will be published soon, and as tradition dictates, degree certificates will be issued on the graduation day.

The UR Management and the University Organizing Committee, in collaboration with Huye District and Southern Province authorities, as well as security organs and the Private Sector Federation (PSF)–Southern Province, are working hand in hand to ensure a smooth, secure, and memorable celebration.
This year’s graduation not only symbolizes academic achievement but also reflects UR’s ongoing commitment to nurturing skilled graduates ready to drive Rwanda’s transformation agenda.
