Welcome message for first year students, academic year 2020-2021

The University of Rwanda Centre for Language Enhancement (UR-CLE) warmly welcomes all first year students for the academic year 2020-2021. The University of Rwanda is the largest university in Rwanda comprising six colleges, namely the College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), College of Education (CE), and College of Science and Technology (CST). These colleges operate at nine campuses. The University uses English as a medium of instruction and communication at all the six colleges.
The University of Rwanda Centre for Language Enhancement (CLE) will support all first year students and continuing undergraduate students by providing them with the English language skills they need to successfully cope with their academic work in their respective content subjects. In this regards, the CLE informs all first year students that they will take an English Proficiency Test for the university to establish their English levels and plan English courses accordingly. For this academic year, the English Proficiency Test is scheduled to take place from 26th to 30th April 2021 at each campus. Candidates are requested to present their proof of registration.
