Personal Statement: 
Dr. Jean Baptiste Habyarimana has a PhD degree in Economics, a Master of Science in Economics, and a Bachelor of Applied Statistics. He is currently a lecturer in the School of Economics at the University of Rwanda. His research interests include macroeconomics (theory and modeling), Microeconomics (theory and modeling), Financial Economics (theory and modeling), Behavior Economics, and Economic Psychology. He has experience in teaching different modules which include dynamic macroeconomics, dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model, impact evaluation, uses of data systems in policy analysis, operations research, resources management techniques, microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, and econometrics. His recent research appears in Kyklos, Financial Planning Review, China Economic Review, and African Development Review, among others.
