Educational Background: 
"Dr Samuel Kamugisha is a lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Business and Economics, School of Business where teaches strategic management, entrepreneurship and innovation, business research methods and other business-related courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He is also engaged in consultancy services and has published various research papers in the area of strategy and entrepreneurship. Samuel is the former Director General in Charge of Industry Promotion and Entrepreneurship Development at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MINICOM), in the Republic of Rwanda. During his tenure at MINICOM, Samuel was in charge of leading the process of policy design, formulation of regulations and strategies on industrial and SMEs development and transfer of technology development; setting up guidelines and mechanisms to identify key industrial opportunities and creating a conducive environment for its development; and supporting the competitiveness of local industries and promoting locally produced products to recapture the domestic market. He holds a PhD in Business Administration focusing on strategies for industrial growth in developing economies. His research interests are mainly in industrial development focusing on new venture processes, survival, and growth of manufacturing firms in the context of developing economies. "
