Educational Background: 
Kabanda Richard is a Lecturer of Economics, in the school of Economics and Governance at the University of Rwanda. He is a Ph. D holder in Economics from University of Nairobi, and University of Daresalam ; under the Collaboration PhD Programme/Africa Economic Research Consortium (CPP/AERC) from 2011 to 2016. Course : Econometrics & Public Sector Economics. He has over 13 years of teaching Economics at University, and consultancy experience. More specifically, he is focused in Public sector economics, and to some extent, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. He has worked with UNDP for the NASA-NHA Surveys, and evaluation (in 2009, and also in 2010), and has also worked with DAI-USAID East Africa Trade and Investment Hub Program for AGOA Strategy Action Plan on benefit of the Rwanda Ministry of trade and industry (2016). Has also worked as Rwandan consultant for conducting and fast tracking the Regional Skills Audit for non-Standard Gauge Railway projects under Northern Corridor Integration Projects. He also has skills in knowledge transmission.
Research Interests and area of expertise : 
Formulation of public policies tools ; Public policy analysis (data collection, interpretation) ; and Skills gap audit, and Human resource capacity building.
