Centre for Language Enhancement (CLE)

Considering an irreplaceable role of languages in transmitting and advancing knowledge, allowing people’s communication and interaction, exploring societies’ cultures, traditions, values, etc, there is a strong need to cater for language teaching and learning in any level of education. The University of Rwanda Centre for Language Enhancement (UR CLE) was created in 2015 (shortly after the creation of the UR) as a result of merging the language centres from former merged higher learning institutions into UR. The CLE strives to assist the UR community (students and staff) as well as other interested communities to reach the language proficiency levels that enable them to be successful in their studies and careers.

This website space was provided to help the CLE disseminate and share with the large audience about main its activities and achievements grouped under three major domains namely teaching and learning activities, research and communication, and community outreach services. We are therefore inviting all of you to take this advantage of this space and be informed about the centre and then get involved in our activities. Your comments and suggestions through “contact us” corner will be highly appreciated for the betterment of the centre’s services and achievements.
You are all warmly welcome
