The University Rwanda is committed to equalization of opportunities for all its students. Hence, all UR students with disabilities or limitations that may deter achieving learning/teaching outcomes in their programs of study are encouraged to complete the ‘Self Declaration Form’ herewith. The form will be sourced from the Students’ Guild council representative in Charge of Education, in Charge of disability, heads/directors of Students’ affairs, or Centers for students with Special Needs (for Rukara and Huye) on respective campuses.
Reasonable accommodation or support provisions shall be strictly accorded to students who will have duly completed the Self-Declaration Form. Personal information on the form shall be treated confidentially (if required), and shall be used solely for processing the student’s reasonable accommodation.
All 1st year students with Special Needs shall have submitted the duly completed self-declaration forms by 11th/11/2019, while other students with special needs (2nd, 3rd and others) shall have handed in the forms by 18th/11/2019, to the offices below :
