CMHS Students conducted a community outreach in Nyabihu District

A team of more than 130 students from the schools of Health Sciences, Human Nutrition, and that of Clinical Medicine departed from Kigali for an outreach activity that took place in Nyabihu District from 28th Feb. -2nd March 2019, ,in a joint collaboration with Nyabihu District, The community was sensitized on health education and family planning methods and how to nutritionally feed their children, Over 500 flyers with information to fight Ebola were distributed , 100 Health fact sheets, over 100 family planning flyers and 1000 days flyers were distributed to communities and also had time to discuss with Community Health Workers and the community at large.
The Opening ceremony for the outreach was officiated by the Vice Mayor for Social Affairs of Nyabihu District.
