Education Minister conducts work visit to Huye Campus

On 25th April 2022 Hon. Minister of Education Dr Valentine Uwamariya was received by University Vice Chancellor Prof. Alexandre Lyambabaje at Huye Campus. The Visit was meant to witness the implementation progress of long and short terms projects that are being conducted by different schools and units within the campus.

In the course of the visit Dr Uwamariya inspected different facilities in the school of Medicine such as rooms, classes and laboratories. The visit was also an opportunity to discuss with the Vice Chancellor and two Colleges’ officials hosted in the campus namely the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, the College of Arts and Social Science well as the College of Business and Economics. Among the items on agenda included the discussion around the challenges affecting the campus and respective hosted colleges.

The meeting encouraged Principals of respective Colleges to address encountered challenges in collaboration with schools and departments and seek guidance from where need may arise..

In her remarks, the Education Minister noted that the purpose of the visit was to track the rehabilitation works in order to have a comprehensive implementation roadmap which will ultimately ease the follow up.

“We need ensure the implementation of defined milestone for the results to be certain,” said Dr Uwamariya.
