The government of Rwanda, is acquiring a High Performance Computing (HPC) System that will support academic research and industry in different areas such as Materials, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Environment and Computation.

For the HPC system to be fully utilized, a series of trainings will be organized for interested researchers to equip them with necessary skills to incorporate HPC models and simulations into their respective research areas.

The first of such trainings is organized in partnership with the University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology, from May 20th up to June 20th, 2019 at UR-CST, Former KIST 2 - ICTP block. The training will be happening during working days from 5:00pm up to 7:30pm. The first training will be geared towards beginner and intermediate level and will focus on heat transfer, structure mechanics, fluid flow, optics, AC/DC problems, electrochemistry and Mechatronics.

Interested candidates with at least a Master’s in Science and Engineering are encouraged to apply through the link posted on the college website. Selected candidates will be the first users of the HPC system.
