The University of Rwanda (UR) through the Centre for Language Enhancement and The Language Management Scheme welcome all first year students for the Academic Year 2019/2020. The University of Rwanda is the biggest university in Rwanda comprising six Colleges, namely the College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (CAVEM), College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), College of Business and Economics (CBE), College of Education (CE), College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) and College of Science and Technology (CST). These Colleges operate on nine campuses. The University uses English as a medium of instruction and communication at all the six Colleges.

The University of Rwanda, Centre for Language Enhancement (CLE) will support all first year and continuing undergraduate students by providing them with the English language skills they need to successfully cope with their academic work in their respective content subjects. In this regard, the CLE invites new undergraduate students to take an English Proficiency Test for the CLE staff to establish the students’ English levels and plan English courses accordingly. For this academic year, the English Proficiency Test is scheduled from 11th to 16th November, 2019 at each campus. Candidates for the test are requested to present their proof of registration.

Once again, the University of Rwanda welcomes you to the English test and wishes you all the best throughout your academic studies.
