POLAND : 35 Postdoctoral Fellowships available under the MSCA Cofund - PASIFIC Fellowship Programme across all Scientific Disciplines

The PASIFIC Fellowship Programme, co-financed from the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND,  is a unique opportunity for researchers who want to undertake state-of-the-art research in a dynamic scientific environment. It will enable scholars of all nationalities and across all scientific disciplines to establish their scientific independence and conduct ground-breaking research. 

 

DEADLINE : JUNE 30, 2021

For 2 years, the fellows will be hosted at one of the institutes within the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS), which is one of the most prestigious research institutions in Poland. They will have the freedom to choose their research area, research supervisor, host institute as well as secondment organisations best suited for their research and career development. 

The PASIFIC Fellows will be offered a monthly allowance of approx. €2,500 net. Those, who decide to come to Poland together with their families, may be entitled to an additional family allowance. In addition, they will be granted a research budget of up to €93,000 per project

Timelines

50 outstanding scientists will be selected in the two calls announced in 2021 :

  • The first call, in which 35 PASIFIC fellows will be recruited, will be open from 15 March 2021 to 30 June 2021. Selected researchers will be informed about evaluation results after approx. six months. They will be expected to come to Poland between January 2022 and March 2022.
  • The second call, in which 15 PASIFIC fellows will be recruited, will be open from 15 September 2021 to 30 December 2021. Selected researchers will be informed about evaluation results after approx. six months. They will be expected to come to Poland between July 2022 and October 2022.

Who can apply ? 

The PASIFIC Fellowship Programme is open to researchers of any nationality and representing all scientific disciplines.

To apply for the PASIFIC Fellowship, you have to meet the two eligibility criteria : 

  • At the deadline of the call, you must be in possession of at least a doctoral degree or 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience. This means you should hold a degree entitling you to embark on a doctoral programme and have at least four years of documented research experience. 
  • You must comply with the MSCA mobility rule. This means you must have not have been a resident of Poland or carried out your main activities (including work or studies) in Poland for more than one year out of the three years prior to the call’s deadline.
