The University of Rwanda, through its Resource Mobilization Division, is committed to discuss with academic, industry and commercial partners any initiatives to enhance access to learning resources, means to challenge the ways teaching is delivered, and ways to bring secure forms of attainment and assessment..

The University is also keen to discuss funding, opportunities and investment that will build legacy and enrich lives and productivity, while creating a reputation for learning, teaching, assessment, research, and community engagement. The Resource Mobilization Division is mindful that our University strength will not only be derived from the quality and relevance of its research and teaching and on how well it is managed but also from how it efficiently and effectively engages and collaborates with the outside world. This is the core business of the Division.

Major activities of Resource Mobilization at the University of Rwanda include:

Projects management

Grants management

Consultancies coordination

Renting of facilities, farming, forest harvesting, fishing,etc

Fundraising

Creating and managing collaboration and cooperation frameworks between UR and other partners ( MoUs, agreements, etc)

Overall office Responsibilities/services

The UR Resource Mobilization Division has the following duties and responsibilities

• Coordinating the activities in connection with the cooperation between UR and other higher learning institutions and other partners.
• Developing the follow-up frame works of cooperation between UR and the private sector.
• Coordinating all activities relating to institutional advancement.
• Taking the lead in identifying funding opportunities, listing them, and sharing the information with the University community.
• Assisting with funding proposal writing processes.
• Assisting in developing a fund generation and resource mobilization work plan and constantly follow-up the implementation of the plan.
• Coordinates the processing of agreements in connection with funding opportunities.
• Ensuring that fundraising and resource mobilization information are up to date and communicated in a timely manner whenever needed.
• Mapping out and communicating consultancy service opportunities.
• Coordinate and follow up on consultancy service activities.
• Serving as a liaison between the University and UR Holding Group.
